Summer is fast approaching and the excitement is building for the release of Microsoft’s next iteration of Windows. For a few months now millions of people have been testing out the new software through Microsoft’s Windows Insiders program which provides them with access to beta builds of Windows 10. There’s good news for the four million plus Windows Insiders that are taking part in this program, they will all get Windows 10 RTM free.
This has been confirmed by the chief of Windows Insiders, Mr. Gabriel Aul, who was asked whether Windows 10 RTM free update will be possible for those who are running Insider preview builds on their machines.
@GabeAul’s reply was short and sweet: “Yes,” which settles it that all Windows Insiders that are running preview builds will receive a free update to Windows 10 RTM.
For those who are unaware, the RTM is basically the last build that’s put together before Microsoft releases the new software to everybody.
Which is why Windows Insiders will be able to get their hands on RTM to see what improvements the company has made over the months of its public preview program, hopefully no gremlins will emerge in the final build that might cause the consumer release of Windows 10 to be delayed.
