If a rumor is to be believed then Verizon is going to add a handful of new devices to its lineup in the near future. Among the devices that are said to be coming to Big Red is the Sony Xperia Z4, the LG G Pad X 8,3 and the iPad mini 4. It’s even said that a new HTC Desire handset will be added to the lineup as well. Verizon obviously has not confirmed anything yet so take the rumor with a grain of salt.
The rumor comes from the infamous Twitter leaker @evleaks, who has been right on countless occasions in the past. Evan Blass tweeted today that all of these devices are “coming to Verizon.”
Blass doesn’t say in his tweet precisely when these devices will be coming to Verizon, and seeing as how they’re from different manufacturers, it’s more than likely that they won’t all be coming to Big Red on the same day.
It’s also unclear whether the Xperia Z4 that’s rumored to be bound for Verizon is the same as the Japanese version that Sony has already released. The company is reportedly developing a global variant of the Xperia Z4 and it’s likely that Big Red will sell that particular variant.
The iPad mini 4 is yet to be unveiled and since new tablets from Apple usually come in the fall we shouldn’t expect it to arrive before October at the very least. Nothing is known about the LG G Pad X 8.3 but perhaps its the unannounced successor to the LG G Pad 8.3.
The Desire 526 is already available in India, it’s a low-end Android smartphone which may arrive soon on Verizon.
