Professional skater Tony Hawk hinted recently that he’s working on a new console game with Activision and later a leak revealed that this would be a new addition in the “Pro Skater” franchise. The title was teased a couple of times but now it has finally been confirmed in the latest issue of Game Informer. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 is going to be released later this year for consoles.
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will arrive first though it has also been confirmed that the title will make its way to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as well, but the next-gen consoles get the game first.
Not much has been revealed about this title as yet aside from the fact that it’s being developed by Robomondo, which previously developed titles like Tony Hawk: Shred.
According to the report Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 will provide gameplay similar to the early titles in this series which were much appreciated by the community. Online co-op and competitive play modes have been confirmed as well alongside the single player mode.
Like all titles in this franchise you will be able to play as the man himself, Tony Hawk that is, Activision has not yet revealed when we can expect this title to be released. Only that it will arrive later this year.
