nexus-6-review-2

Many smartphones available from T-Mobile right now support Wi-Fi calling. It’s a feature that the carrier loves to talk about when comparing itself to the competition and yet it hasn’t provided Wi-Fi calling to Nexus 6 owners. The T-Mobile Nexus 6 Wi-Fi calling feature does not work right now but the carrier expects to have it up and running in about a week or so.

It was actually months ago that we expected this feature to go live for the Nexus 6 but that clearly hasn’t happened. Apparently T-Mobile and Google haven’t quite been able to iron out the bugs that are preventing this feature from going live.

There’s good news though which comes from T-Mobile product evangelist Des, who revealed on Twitter that T-Mobile is still working with Google on Wi-Fi calling for the Nexus 6. He revealed that a bug was found over the weekend and it could take 7-10 days for it to be fixed.

Once the bug is taken care of T-Mobile expects to have the feature switched on, thus finally allowing Nexus 6 owners on its network to make calls over a Wi-Fi connection.

T-Mobile Nexus 6 owners will certainly be glad when this feature goes live, as it stands right now they just have to wait for over a week to finally get what many of them have been waiting for.
