Space exploration has always been the object of man’s fascination, the curiosity that kindles a fire to find out what lies ahead in the vast universe. This curiosity is what compelled man to send a mission to the moon, send robots to Mars and what compels man today to think of establishing a city on the Red Planet some day. Elon Musk’s SpaceX has released a series of retro Mars exploration posters which make me which for the day we can set foot on a rocket and shoot up straight to Mars.
SpaceX is involved in space exploration efforts and is also working on next generation rocket technology to make space travel easier and cheaper.
Musk has made no secret of his desire to send a man to Mars and perhaps even set up a city on our neighbouring planet, but it’s not like this endeavor will be accomplished in just a few years.
We’re probably decades away, if not more, from setting up a colony on the Red Planet but nevertheless, these retro posters from SpaceX inspire us to think beyond what we perceive to be possible, and look towards a future where interplanetary travel is commonplace.
I don’t know about you, but I’m certainly smitten with these posters.
