As it turns out the Xperia Z3+ is the global version of the Xperia Z4 which in turn is basically a slightly upgraded version of the Sony Xperia Z3. We’re not sure what Sony’s strategy is but if you loved the Xperia Z3 and wouldn’t mind getting the phone in pretty much the same design but with slightly upgraded specs, then perhaps the Xperia Z3+ is for you.
For those who missed the Xperia Z4’s announcement, like we said the Xperia Z3+ is essentially the same phone. This means that you can look forward to a 5.2-inch Full HD display and a aluminum-framed body. Under the hood, Sony has upgraded the processor which is now a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 and will see it come with 3GB of RAM. Oddly enough Sony has packed a smaller battery of 2,930mAh into the phone.
In terms of optics, the handset will sport a 20.7MP Exmor RS sensor on the back. The phone will run Android 5.0 Lollipop and it is expected to be made available globally in June.
