These users appear to be suffering from rashes and irritations on their wrists which are apparently caused from the Apple Watch. That being said, Apple claims that the metal used on their watches has been tested multiple times, not to mention they have also consulted with board-certified dermatologists to ensure that the materials used won’t cause any adverse effects on the majority of its customers.
However Apple does acknowledge that users who have very sensitive skin should probably keep away from the device. “If you have a problem with nickel, the material is used on the Apple Watch, the space gray Apple Watch Sport, the stainless steel portions of some Apple Watch bands, and the magnets in the watch and bands.”
Apple has also suggested that some users might be wearing their device wrongly, like wearing them too tight for example could lead to chafing which in turn could lead to skin irritation. In any case hopefully this isn’t as big a deal as it sounds, after all customers with tattoos might have issues, we’re sure the last thing Apple wants is to have a mass recall on their hands, right?
