Siberian Husky Gets Pair Of Gold Apple Watch Editions
I believe that for a number of us, a smartwatch is not quite the necessity that a smartphone is at the moment, although it might take some time before the smartwatch attains such a “status”, so to speak, among the tech loving community. The Apple Watch has definitely raised some eyebrows with its announcement, and here is an ostentatious display of wealth that you might cringe at, or commend, depending on which side of the fence you are on. Apparently, a wealthy man in China purchased not one, but two gold Apple Watch Editions – and to see him gift it to his dog is all the more bizarre!
The person who did this was none other than Wang Sicong, the scion of mainland China’s richest man, and you can be sure that this display of his wealth resulted in a virtual riot on Tuesday, after such photos went up on Weibo, featuring his Siberian Husky with a pair of gold Apple Watch Editions on its front paws.
To put things into perspective, the 42mm gold Apple Watch Edition with white sport band retails for ¥88,800 a pop -converted to $14,318 in mainland China, which means the dog is practically wearing a new mid-sized sedan on its front paws. Definitely reason to “paws” for some thought.
