Despite having been delayed multiple times the much awaited racing title Project Cars has already been released, though it’s arrival on the Nintendo Wii U has been sidelined repeatedly. There’s word from Slightly Mad Studios that it’s finding it hard to run the title up to the mark on this console, it’s struggling at 720p 23 frames-per-second. The studios’ Ian Bell has even said that they might wait for the Nintendo NX console to arrive before launching this title.
Bell things that the new console from Nintendo might arrive “halfway through us finishing,” so it would make more sense to wait until the new console is here and launch the title on it since they’re finding it hard to get it up to the mark on the Wii U.
Satoru Iwata, the president of Nintendo, has already said that the Nintendo NX is not going to be unveiled at E3 2015 next month. It remains to be seen though if Iwata surprises everybody with an announcement at the gaming convention, but that’s a big if.
Bell has said that if Nintendo doesn’t announce a new console at E3 2015 then Slightly Mad Studios might “have a got at it” to bring Project Cars to the Wii U. He says that at this point in time they’re playing a waiting game, the situation about Project Cars Wii U release will be somewhat cleared up after the gaming convention in June.
