This isn’t limited to a particular Nexus 6 variant or software as it seems that users using Nexus 6 handsets from various carriers and different software versions are reporting the issue. Apparently rebooting the phone will help get rid of the “!” logo but only for a few minutes, after which the logo will appear again. The issue also appears to have started at least a week ago.
Now like we said this appears to be affecting handsets from various carriers, but it seems that T-Mobile and Sprint users have it the worst. Some users have tried restoring the APN settings to default, changing APN protocols, and nothing seems to have worked. Some users suggested removing the SIM card and inserting it again which has helped, but basically there does not seem to be a solid or reliable fix.
There has been no word from any of the carriers about the issue, or Motorola who made the Nexus 6, but we’ll keep an eye out for more details. In the meantime are any of our readers experiencing similar issues themselves?
