Motorola’s Moto 360 was one of the most talked about smartwatches of 2014 because not only was it among the first few wearable devices to run on Android Wear, but it was also the first round smartwatch powered by AW. The design itself received a lot of praise and was one major reason for customers to opt for it. Motorola is due to release a successor soon which is why it’s not surprising to see the company slash Moto 360 price by $100.
This price cut hasn’t come out of the blue. Over the past few weeks several retailers have been offering discounts and running promotions on the Moto 360.
We usually see this kind of behavior from retailers when they’re rushing to get rid of remaining stock. Given that the Moto 360 performed well in the market as compared to other Android Wear smartwatches of its time, this meant that retailers were possibly gearing up for the arrival of a new model.
Now that Motorola itself has slashed the Moto 360 price, and there have already been rumors of the next generation Moto 360, it’s likely that the company might soon unveil the new smartwatch.
Originally priced at $249, this beautiful round smartwatch from Motorola can now be purchased directly from the company for $149.
