Recently a patch for Mortal Kombat X for the PC was released and while its original intention was to bring the PC version to parity with the console version, it ended up being a rather buggy update and deleted saved versions of the game. In fact the patch was bad enough that the folks at NetherRealm had to pull it to prevent more gamers from losing their saved games.
According to a statement made by the studio, “We have pinpointed the issue resulting in the Save Data Loss and are in the process of testing the fix in a new patch. Once fully tested, we will look to post it later this evening and will make another announcement at that time. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this.”
No doubt gamers are miffed, especially when you consider the the update was sized at 15GB which means that a lot of time was wasted on a patch that didn’t exactly deliver as promised. No word on when the fixed version of the patch will be released, but hopefully it will be soon. We’ll be keeping an eye out for it and will update you guys accordingly.
