Microsoft has got good hype going for Windows 10. The new iteration of its operating system isn’t due until later this year but already millions of people are testing out the preview builds and closely following all updates regarding the development of Windows 10. The company is conducting its Ignite conference this week in Chicago and during the opening keynote it shared multiple demos of the new version of Windows, these demos showed off the improvements that have been made to the interface and also what the OS looks like on small tablets.
Some of the changes that people might witness here may not be present in the preview builds that have officially been released up till now, however they have been spotted in multiple leaked Windows 10 builds.
Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore showed off Windows 10 on small tablets and the video demo is available for viewing, Belfiore obviously didn’t talk about any upcoming small tablets that could be powered by Windows 10.
The company’s own tablets have steered clear of small sizes and its partners like Dell and Lenovo have dabbled in the 8 inch form factor before. They have already released small tablets powered by Windows 8 so it goes without saying that they may do something similar when Windows 10 arrives.
Since the small tablets are going to run a full version of Windows, users will be able to get the same experience as a large screen tablet if they dock the smaller tablets, once they’re docked they will operate like a conventional PC.
Windows 10 is destined to arrive later this year.
