A few days back Microsoft released a new app called Lumia Camera beta., it’s just a preview version of the native photography application that ships with all Windows Phone handsets. The app will make it easier for the company to test out new features before it rolls them out for everyone. Microsoft has now said that an update to the app has been released which brings a couple of new features particularly for those select Windows 10 for Phones handsets that currently support this app.
Only those who are running Windows 10 for Phones on a Lumia 640 or a Lumia 1520 can access these new features which have been included in the latest update of Lumia Camera beta for Windows Phone.
The features include an updated design to make it easier for users to instantly get their photography fix, simplified output resolutions and selfie stick support for pictures and videos.
It’s not surprising at all to see that Microsoft has updated this app to ensure that Windows 10 for Phones devices are compatible with selfie sticks, a trend which some find deplorable, so that users don’t miss out on the selfie stick craze.
Lumia Camera beta is now available for download from the Windows Phone Store. The aforementioned features will only appear if you’re running the app on a Lumia 1520 or a Lumia 640.
