The new tablet comes with a digital pen and the Lenovo WRITEit software that lets people enter text data using handwriting. It is compatible with nearly all the regular Windows inputs, so it should be convenient for use cases where one doesn’t want to switch between pen and virtual keyboards all the time.
The tablet will come with a 10-inch 1900×1200 display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 screen. It is powered by an Intel Atom Z8500 (CherryTrail) with up to 4GB of LPDDR3-1600 RAM. Lenovo is also claiming that the battery on the ThinkPad 10 will be good for up to 10 hours, although this will largely depend on how you use it.
Configurations can vary at order time and per region, so we will know more about the possible hardware options by the time Windows 10 launches, which is when the ThinkPad 10 will be available.
