As it stands, gamers on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC are enjoying Mortal Kombat X. However as you might recall a couple of months ago, we reported that the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of the game had been delayed to the summer of 2015 which should be pretty soon, but it looks like it could have been delayed again.
This is according to a recent listing on GameStop (via GameRant) which had previously pegged the game for a release on the 2nd of June. However based on the new listing, it seems that the game has now been listed for a release on the 31st of December. While we doubt the 31st of December date is real, chances are it is a placeholder but it does seem to hint at a potential delay.
Assuming that this is the case, this would be the second time that the PS3/Xbox 360 version of the game has been delayed. The folks at Kotaku have since reached out the game’s publisher at Warner Bros. who have yet to comment on the potential delay of the game which is admittedly not a very comforting thought.
It is unclear as to why the game might have been delayed again. Perhaps there were some last minute issues that had to be fixed, or maybe they are still trying to get the game optimized for older consoles, but either way we’ll keep our eyes and ears peeled for more information about this.
