This is according to a recent listing on the official Xbox website (via IGN) in which the game was listed as having a release date for the 29th of May 2015. Whether or not the date was meant to be revealed or if it was simply used as a placeholder remains to be seen, but given that we’re only a few day away, we won’t have wait too long to find out.
In case you forgot, Halo 3: ODST will also be given away as a freebie to gamers who played Halo: The Master Chief Collection between the launch day and the 19th of December. This is due to various launch issues experienced by gamers which resulted in Microsoft giving them a free one month subscription of Xbox Live.
The listing, which has since been taken down, puts the game at a 8.1GB download. Unfortunately there was no mention of pricing so we have no clue as to how much Microsoft plans on charging for the game upon its release for gamers who weren’t part of the giveaway.
