It has been a while since we saw a new Guitar Hero game which might explain why many were excited when Activision announced the new Guitar Hero Live title. Unlike previous Guitar Hero games, Guitar Hero Live will feature actual musicians and a “live” crowd who appear to be clapping and cheering to your songs.
It will also introduce brand new instruments which also means that those of you with older Guitar Hero instruments will find that your peripherals will not be compatible with the new game. That being said for those who are wondering what kind of songs they can expect to jam out to, the folks at Rolling Stone have revealed the first 24 songs for Guitar Hero Live’s setlist.

As you can see, the setlist comprises of songs from rather classic bands from back in the day, such as The Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pantera, Judas Priest, Green Day, and more just to name a few. It also includes more contemporary songs from newer artists such as Ed Sheeran and Skrillex which should appeal to the younger audience who might not be familiar with said bands.
Guitar Hero Live is expected to be released this fall where it will be available on pretty much every gaming platform out there, including the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, the Wii U, and it will also be coming onto mobile platforms, although how exactly this will play out remains to be seen.
