How this works is that Google will attempt to find out if the restaurant you’re looking for is listed by food delivery services. At the moment Google will be working with six companies which includes Seamless, Grubhub, Eat24, Delivery.com, BeyondMenu, and MyPizza.com, so if the restaurant you’re looking forward can be delivered through these services, the food order tool will appear.
According to Google, “When you search for a nearby restaurant on your phone, you’ll see an option to “Place an order” in the search results. Just tap that, choose the delivery service and you’ll be taken to their website to complete the order.” Google expects that over time they will be looking to add more delivery services to their list, but for now these six services will have to do. So, anyone loving the added convenience in the latest update to Google Search?
