It looks like the Gionee Elife E8 is not the only smartphone from the folks over at Gionee to have been spotted today, as there is yet another handset – the Gionee M5 that has made its way over to TENAA, China’s certification body that ensures all consumer electronics are deemed to be safe and within regulatory requirements before being released onto the mass market. As for the Gionee M5, what would be the outstanding point of this particular smartphone? For starters, it will arrive with a pair of batteries, now how about that for peace of mind?
After all, many of the more modern day smartphones do come with a whole slew of features, but they rarely are able to last throughout the day with constant and heavy use. With a pair of batteries, the Gionee M5 is well armed to handle whatever tasks you throw at it, although it will be a mid-range device judging by the hardware specifications listed.
With the Gionee M5, one can expect a quad-core CPU that has been clocked at 1.3GHz, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory which can be further expanded via a microSD memory card slot, a 5.5” 720p AMOLED display, an 8MP shooter at the back, a 5MP front-facing camera, and Android 5.1 Lollipop running right out of the box. A dual battery configuration is said to offer up to four days of battery life, or so Gionee claims.
