Rumor has it that Samsung is soon going to announce the Galaxy S6 Active, the rugged variant of its latest flagship handset. AT&T might be the first carrier in the world to launch this device if reports are to be believed. We have already heard much about the specifications of this device and today we get to see press renders of the Galaxy S6 Active. They show off the rugged smartphone in all its glory.
The renders have been leaked on Twitter by the infamous @evleaks who appears to be back in action these days. @evleaks has dozens of leaks to his name, he has recently emerged on the scene again after going on a hiatus last year.
Galaxy S6 Active press renders don’t appear to be much different from the leaked image of the handset that we saw yesterday, in fact they appear similar in every way.
The Active variant might be launched in three color options, black, camouflage white and camouflage blue. Galaxy S6 Active will have three hardware buttons on the front and there will be no fingerprint sensor, which isn’t surprising, the Galaxy S5 Active didn’t have a fingerprint sensor as well.
Galaxy S6 Active is expected to retain the specifications of the Galaxy S6, which includes a 5.1 inch Quad HD display, Exynos 7420 processor with 3GB RAM, a larger 3,600mAh battery, and perhaps even a microSD card. The device will also be immune to dust and water.
