Based on the rumors of Apple’s next-gen iPhones, it seems that Force Touch will be one of the handsets’ new features. However if you might recall, a report from last month suggested that Force Touch could be an exclusive iPhone 6s Plus feature. For those who would rather have the smaller iPhone 6s, this did seem a tad disappointing.
Well the good news is that according to a new rumor out of Taiwan, it turns that the iPhone 6s could get Force Touch after all. The report cites Apple’s supply chain sources as telling them that Apple had originally planned Force Touch to be an exclusive iPhone 6s Plus feature. It is unclear as to why that is the case, but we suppose it could be one of the features that differentiates the iPhone 6s Plus from the iPhone 6s.
That being said, Apple has had a change of heart and will now include Force Touch in both models, something which we’re sure fans will be happy to hear. For those unfamiliar with the Force Touch technology, it was introduced in the Apple Watch where different functions and commands would appear depending on how hard you pressed its display.
This feature was also brought over to Apple’s new 12-inch Retina MacBook along with the refreshed MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models. We’re not sure how Apple plans on incorporating the feature into the iPhones but it will be something to look out for.
