Blizzard’s upcoming MOBA Heroes of the Storm plays host to a bunch of characters from across the company’s franchises, such as StarCraft, Diablo, Warcraft, and in some cases characters from the company’s earlier days. That being said Blizzard has recently added a new hero to the game in the form of Kael’Thas Sunstrider.
For those unfamiliar with Kael’Thas, he’s a character from Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft where he is a killable boss as part of the Burning Crusade’s raid. However for fans of the blood elves and mage-like characters, you will be pleased to learn that Blizzard has added Kael’Thas to the game where he will be one of the heroes that players can choose from.
At the moment it is unclear as to what Kael’Thas has in terms of abilities or features, but given that he was a magic user in the Warcraft universe, chances are his character will be of the ranged variety where he will be hurling spells at enemies from a distance. Blizzard will be hosting a Reddit Q&A regarding the character on the 12th of May so check back with us then for the details. In the meantime Heroes of the Storm has been given an official release date for the 2nd of June.
