It looks like the selfie craze is not going to end anytime soon, never mind the fact that Disney World has banned selfie sticks on some rides due to safety reasons. ASUS of Taiwan is said to be working on a new Android-powered smartphone, presumably under the ZenFone range of course, where this will be a selfie-centric handset. Taiwanese website Sogi claims that the name for this new smartphone is pretty much straightforward – you do not get any simpler than it being known as the ASUS ZenFone Selfie.
In terms of hardware, expect the ASUS ZenFone Selfie to come with a 13MP front-facing camera that has dual LED flash so that snapping photos in low light conditions will no longer be a challenge, while a similar camera too, ought to make its way to the back of the device, and this one might even come with laser autofocus – something that is found on the higher end models from LG.
Design-wise, it is touted to resemble the ZenFone 2, arriving with a 5.5” display, and chances are it might be announced at the Zensation event at Computex next month. Time will tell as to how the ZenFone Selfie will turn out, so be patient and stay tuned!
