It looks as though Sony is currently working on a redesign for its range of Xperia branded handsets, if the leaked image that you see above is to be taken seriously. Thanks to the folks over at @Upleaks who seem to have their very own special way of obtaining such leaks and insider information on a consistent basis, the picture shows off the caption ‘Sony Lavender,’ which so happens to be the rumored codename for the upcoming flagship handset.
As with any other good rumor out there, we should all take this with a healthy pinch of salt, and for good reason, too. After all, until something official comes out from Sony’s mouth, there is not much point in speculating over what could be and what could have been. This particular leak does lead to additional speculation that Sony themselves intend to introduce a design overhaul to the entire Xperia smartphone range, such as the Xperia Z3.
The Sony Lavender points to the potential reality of extremely thin bezels, not to mention a rather huge looking camera with an LED flash, and front-facing stereo speakers. Other rumors in the past concerning the Lavender would be a Full HD display and Android Lollipop running on a 64-bit Octa-core MediaTek chipset.
