We have known for a while now that Jon Stewart will be leaving The Daily Show though he hadn’t disclosed the air date for his last episode when this announcement was made. His replacement has already been found and confirmed so there’s no chance of Stewart backing out of this decision. Now though he has revealed when The Daily Show with Jon Stewart will air its final episode, it will be this August.
Stewart has done a stellar job for 19 years when he took over for Craig Kilborn, the original host of The Daily Show. Fans were understandably upset with his decision to move on from the show.
Replacing Jon Stewart as the new host of The Daily Show is comedian Trevor Noah, he has appeared on the show multiple times as a correspondent. Comedy Central has not yet confirmed when his first episode as the host will be aired.
As they say, all good things must come to an end, and so will Jon Stewart’s run as The Daily Show’s host for almost two decades on August 6th. Those who are looking to be in the studio that day can bid on a pair of tickets on Omaze the proceeds from which will go to an autism fundraiser.
