All six movies from the epic Star Wars franchise will now be available for purchase through digital stores. Fans of the series have long awaited the arrival of these titles to digital stores like iTunes and Amazon so they’ll definitely be excited about this development. An official notification has already been issued by Disney and 20th Century Fox, they have confirmed that the six movies will be released worldwide online come April 10th.

The six titles include Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.

Prices for each title will depend upon the retailer. The New York Times points out that customers will only be allowed to purchase these movies, rentals will not be offered.

Both Disney and Fox also said that viewers will get access to “never-before-seen” bonus features, they don’t go into much detail about these features, you’ll have to purchase the films to find out on your own.

Check for these six movies on your preferred digital store on April 10th in order to purchase and download. This is the first time that Star Wars movies will be distributed through digital stores.

The move comes some eight months before the first new Star Wars movie in more than a decade arrives. Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens is destined for release on December 18th.
