Skype Offers Free Calls To Nepal

It looks like the world is being mobilized to help those who are suffering from the aftereffects of the earthquake in Nepal, and several companies such as Viber has offered earthquake victims free international calls from Nepal, but here is something that goes the other way around – Skype is making available free calls to landlines as well as mobile phones in Nepal, free of charge, of course, with immediate effect.

In other words, folks will be able to make Skype calls to both landlines and mobiles – not only in, but also out of Nepal, without having to fork out a single cent along the way. As at press time, nobody really knows the total extent of the devastation, so Skype (which is owned by Microsoft) intends to help folks out with alternative methods of communication in order for them to reach not only friends but family as well in the region during this difficult time. Remember, there is no need for any credit in order for one to make calls to and from Nepal.
