Silent Hills Teaser P.T. Being Yanked From PlayStation Store

For quite some time now PlayStation 4 owners have been able to access a playable teaser for horror title Silent Hills called P.T. on the PlayStation 4 but it has come to our attention that Konami is pulling P.T. from the PlayStation Store. Konami has confirmed this action on its website and has also given a confirmed release date after which P.T. will no longer be accessible on the PS Store.

Konami posted an update on the title’s official website to announce that the playable teaser of Silent Hills is going to be pulled from the PlayStation Store. The update was first spotted by a member of the Metal Gear Solid subreddit earlier this week.

Dubbed as “the world’s first interactive teaser,” after it was announced at Gamescom in 2014 P.T. was free for PlayStation 4 owners. It was a teaser for the new Silent Hill game being developed at Kojima Productions.

It was also discovered through this trailer that Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead fame was attached to this project, aside from director Guillermo del Toro.

Now that the teaser is being removed all sorts of questions are being asked about the future of Silent Hill. Kojima Productions’ logo was removed from the official Silent Hills website a few weeks back and there have been multiple reports about Kojima leaving the company.

Nothing is known for sure at this point in time, Kojima has only confirmed that he’s 100 percent involved with the production of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. He has said nothing about Silent Hills yet.

P.T. will be removed from the PlayStation Store on Wednesday, April 29th, 2015.
