Similar to the now defunct Glass, the Recon Jet will rely on a tiny display which is located right outside of your normal field of view, letting you check out various information that is shown on it. It might seem as though you are actually looking at a 30” HDTV instead.
Hardware specifications include a dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory, a 3D accelerometer, 3D gyroscope, 3D magnetometer, Pressure sensor, an Infrared (IR) sensor, GPS support, Bluetooth 4.0 (Bluetooth Smart) connectivity, ANT+, Wi-Fi (IEEE802.11a/b/g/n), Micro USB 2.0 and ReconOS 4.1 as the operating system of choice, itself being based on the Android platform.
Battery life remains one sticky issue where the Recon Jet is concerned, where you would not get much done with just 4 hours of juice, which means bringing around a secondary battery is a good idea. At least it will ship with an extra battery right from the get go.
