Running this particular firmware update will also see a portion of your PS Vita’s memory get unlocked – so much so that developers will end up with 30% more memory to “play around with”, so to speak. In other words, there will be less system resources that are being saved for overhead, and taking into consideration how PS Vita titles can then make use of a larger pool of memory to work with, which is a good thing.
As the consumer, things would look pretty much the same – at least until games being to be developed in order to take full advantage of the additional 30% of RAM. What do you think of this development?
