For experienced raiders, mythic mode is a feature available for certain raids at the moment, but with Patch 6.2, Blizzard will be introducing mythic mode to dungeons. According to Blizzard’s description, “Draenor Dungeons now have a new difficulty level designed to challenge even the most hardened adventurers with a befitting increase in reward. Mythic difficulty is geared towards players that enjoy tackling difficult content in smaller groups and is designed to provide an alternate progression path.”
Mythic dungeons will have a weekly lockout and will drop gear that’s item level 680, with bosses having the chance of dropping loot that is of item level 700. With such high item level drops, this should be a good place for gamers who are looking to jump into later raids or who want to experience high level items without having to spend hours raiding.
As it stands Patch 6.2 has yet to be released and there is no word on when that will happen. However it is currently available for testing on the Public Test Realms so if you’d like to see what else is new in the upcoming patch, you can hop on over to the PTR for the details.
