OS X 10.10.3 Kernel Panics Happen Upon JPEG File Previews

It was the OS X 10.10.3 update that was released in the previous week that would go under the spotlight this time around, especially when you take into consideration how in select cases, it will trigger off kernel panics whenever one decides to perform a preview of a large JPEG image file. Needless to say, this will result in crashes as well as irritating reboots, and all of those add up to a rather frustrating user experience. At least, that is what we have gleaned so far from Apple’s support forums.

Posters over on Apple’s support forums touted that they are able to load images in other applications including Photoshop or Apple Photos, as well as to select files in bulk, but should there be any point in which an individual JPEG over an unknown size is accessed via Finder or Preview, OS X stands a chance of failing there and then on the spot. This particular issue does not seem limited to just a s single kind of Mac model though.

By the way, have you managed to make sure that you will be able to send messages or emails with the Vulcan salute emoji that we talked about not too long ago? That certainly seems to be quite the rage.
