OnePlus Stopped CM OS 12 OTA So That ‘OK OnePlus’ Feature Can Be Added

It seems that OnePlus has kicked off the propagation of the long awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop based Cyanogen OS 12 system update for the One in the previous week, where there were a bunch of people who managed to download the CM OS 12 – while many more others remained patient for the Over The Air (OTA) update. Apparently, the OTA update was stopped for a while, which explains the situation. The reason behind doing so? To introduce a new ‘OK OnePlus’ voice activation feature in the very same update itself.

I do not know about you, but this certainly sounds too close for comfort, as though it is a direct rip off from ‘OK Google’, what do you think? Then again, since this is based on the Android platform, perhaps that is to be expected. After all, the new OK OnePlus is touted to share a number of similarities with that of the Ok Google voice search feature, and even better is the fact that it will still run when the handset happens to be in sleep mode.

After all, the OnePlus feature was mentioned more than a year ago, so it is nice to see it finally “hit the market”, so to speak. Well, better pause the OTA rollout for a temporary amendment, I am sure the users will not mind.
