When the new firmware is released, it will pave the way for the synchronization of recording start/stop with HDMI output from the D4S, D810, and D750. Since this would mean that video recorders will then recognize camera operations, recording start/stop commands of the external recorder can be set to have it synchronize with recording start/stop commands of the camera.
The new firmware will also deliver a greater level of support for recording of high-definition, uncompressed data which would maximize the superior resolution of the D4S, D810, and D750, as well as take full advantage of the excellent rendering performance of NIKKOR lenses, to external recorders. Blockbuster movies aren’t all there are to look forward to in the summer, you know, as firmware releases such as these would also excite a totally different niche market. [Press Release]
