This is actually an interesting change of pace as previously HTC had no relied on home buttons, at least not for a long time and not for their flagship devices. It is the presence of the home button that has also led to speculation that the HTC One M9 Plus could come with a built-in fingerprint sensor inside the home button which wouldn’t be a complete surprise since more OEMs are starting to rely on the technology these days.
Other than that the images themselves don’t actually reveal the phone in full, but it certainly looks like what we’ve been seeing so far. In terms of specs, the HTC One M9 Plus is rumored to feature a 5.2-inch QHD display and will be powered by a MediaTek SoC. It will be accompanied by 3GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, BoomSound speakers (based on the photos), and will most likely run Android 5.0 Lollipop at the very least.
The handset is also said to sport a 20MP rear-facing camera and it is also expected to come with either a 13MP front-facing camera or a camera of the UltraPixel variety. It is expected to be officially announced on the 8th of April as per HTC’s invite, so do check back with us then for the details.
