Mario Maker, a level creator that is set to launch at around Super Mario Bros’ 30th Anniversary, looks to have run into a stumbling block itself, since it has been delayed to a September 2015 rollout. The game itself has been announced before to arrive some time before July knocks on June’s door this year, but I guess there are issues which need to be worked out before it is ready to rock and roll.
Basically, Mario Maker would enable Wii U users to come up with their very own Mario levels – and then sharing it with the rest of the world, letting players switch easily between the 8-bit visuals of the original Super Mario Bros. as well as the updated ‘HD’ look of New Super Mario Bros., which should be worth checking out all by itself.
