For seasoned Mario Kart gamers, the 150cc mode is probably the only mode worth playing in as it is the test of one’s skill and mastery of the course and their vehicle of choice. However it looks like all of that could soon be made obsolete. Announced during Nintendo Direct, it seems that Nintendo will be bringing a 200cc mode to Mario Kart 8 in an upcoming DLC.
Yes, you read that right, no longer will 150cc be the fastest mode available, instead gamers will now be able to take things to the next level with a 200cc mode. Best of all, the DLC will be released to gamers for free so it looks like everyone and anyone who owns the game should be able to enjoy it. The DLC has been pegged for a release on the 23rd of April so gamers might want to keep an eye out for it.
Safe to say that this addition will no doubt be welcomed by gamers who might have otherwise been getting a bit tired of the game. The 200cc mode should add new challenges to gamers and force them to get used to the faster speeds, meaning that in some maps and for some vehicles, your strategy and tactics might have to change as well.
