Now it seems that in a bid to make Waze even better, the city of Los Angeles has teamed up with the navigation service to help cut down the amount of traffic jams experienced in the city, something which Los Angeles is notorious for. How this works is that the exchange of information will go both ways.
Waze will tip drivers to impending traffic jams and any accidents that might have occurred, while at the same time informing the county of said jams and/or accidents, which hopefully means that they will be able to respond in a more timely manner which ultimately could lead to shorter traffic jams.
Will this work? We suppose it remains to be seen, but a similar partnership was launched in Boston and presumably it is doing well enough for Los Angeles to want to adopt the system as well.
