The company has also confirmed that the upcoming LG G4’s camera module will have a 16MP sensor along with an aperture of f/1.8. According to them, this makes it LG’s widest aperture camera to date for a smartphone. The wide aperture also means that the camera is able to let in 80% more light than its predecessor, the LG G3, so for users who prioritize low-light shooting abilities, the f/1.8 aperture should come in handy.
LG Innotek also revealed that they would be making an 8MP front-facing camera in response to the selfie trend, making it the company’s highest megapixel front-facing camera to date. The front camera will come with an infrared filter that prevents infrared light from entering the lens which supposedly helps give it a more natural look with accurate colors.
The announcement of these details confirms additional specs of the upcoming handset which includes a 5.5-inch QHD display. More information is expected to be revealed on the 28th of April so check back with us then for the full run down.
