lg-g4__leak_kr_29The LG G4 will be announced in all of its official glory come 28th of April, although we’re sure many are wondering how much will LG’s upcoming flagship handset cost them? So far Android flagship handsets have all been roughly priced the same, but it seems that things could change with the LG G4.

A report out of South Korea (via G for Games) has suggested that the LG G4 will be priced higher than that of the Samsung Galaxy S6 which is probably one of the more premium Android handsets in the market at the moment. The price of the handset is rumored to be in between that of the Galaxy S6 and its slightly more expensive sibling, the Galaxy S6 Edge.

Assuming that this is true, how does LG justify pricing the handset higher than the competition? Shouldn’t they try to price it lower to try and undercut Samsung? Apparently this is because LG seems to think that the LG G4 is a more premium device than the Galaxy S6, thus the slightly premium pricing. However the report also claims that the price of the handset has yet to be set in stone, so anything could change from now until then.

That being said over in the US due to carrier subsidies, the phone might not end up being that much more expensive. In fact it could even end up being priced the same as the Galaxy S6. Chances are the unlocked version will be the one that could be priced higher. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but would a more expensive LG G4 put you off?
