With the LG G Flex 2 sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset under its hood, we can only assume that LG would continue to use the Snapdragon 810, especially for its upcoming flagship the LG G4. However according to a recent leak, it turns out that the Snapdragon 810 might be MIA from the LG G4.
In its place it would seem that LG could turn to the use of the Snapdragon 808. Of course it remains to be seen if the screenshot to the right is the real deal, after all it could be a fake or it could be for a completely different handset, but given that we have heard rumors about the Snapdragon 810 overheating, perhaps LG is looking at alternatives.
Then again during our review of the LG G Flex 2 which ran the Snapdragon 810, we did not encounter any particular overheating problems, however last month a report surfaced which showed the HTC One M9 running rather hot. Even after its software had been finalized, the handset continued to operate at temperatures above that of the competition.
In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but LG is expected to announce the LG G4 on the 28th of April so do check back with us then for the official details.
