Using a new phone with a new UI or a new platform can be a bit intimidating for some users as they might feel overwhelmed with the icons, features, settings, and so on. However it seems that LG might want to make things easier for new users to get on board with, thanks to a new rumor which suggests that the upcoming LG G4 could feature a dual-mode user interface.
What does this mean, you ask? Basically there will be two modes offered with the LG G4. One will be a basic and more general version of the interface which will be easier and more straightforward to use. This might be ideal for Android newbies or those who have not used an LG phone before.
The other mode will be an “expert” mode which will offer up more features and functions that a more seasoned Android/LG users might already be familiar with. For example the camera might have more functions enabled to allow the user to tweak its settings such as ISO, exposure, etc., while the basic mode might only allow a few basic camera functions.
It’s an interesting idea although we’re not sure how many users would actually need such a feature, but what do you guys think? Is this a functionality/option that more smartphone OEMs should include in the future? The LG G4 is expected to be announced on the 28th of April as per the invitations sent out by LG not too long ago.
