Lenovo K80 To Take On The ASUS ZenFone 2 With 4GB Of RAM

lenovo k80Earlier this year ASUS unveiled the ZenFone 2 which came with 4GB of RAM (or at least one of the options did). At the moment there aren’t too many phones with 4GB of RAM which made it rather compelling, but it looks like Lenovo does not want ASUS to have all the fun as the company has recently announced the Lenovo K80.

While there are other 4GB phones around, the K80 and ZenFone 2 have more in common with each other than the rest. For starters both are powered by Intel Atom chipsets. The K80 is clocked at 1.2GHz and will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display. It will also come with 64GB of onboard storage and a rather sizable 4,000mAh battery.

The camera on the Lenovo K80 is of the 13MP variety and will feature optical image stabilization. It will come with Android Lollipop preinstalled and will be available in a variety of colors, such as black, red, and silver. It is priced at roughly $290 and will be available in China come 30th of April. Just like the ZenFone 2, there will be a 2GB model available with 32GB of storage, but no word on pricing of that particular model yet.

There is no telling if the Lenovo K80 will find its way stateside. For the most part Lenovo’s phones have been missing from western markets, but we will keep an eye out for it all the same.
