Apple is also looking to do their part as a feature has been launched in the iTunes Store in which users will be able to donate money to the American Red Cross who will then use those funds in their relief efforts. As you can see in the screenshot above, users will be able to choose amounts as low as $5 and go up to $200, 100% of which will be going to the Red Cross.
Given that Apple has so many credit cards on file, it certainly sounds like a quick and easy way for iTunes users to donate money without having to sign up for an account or go through a lengthy process, which hopefully will make them more willing to donate money. This isn’t the first time that Apple has launched such a feature.
Previously the company had enabled iTunes donation for the City of Hope last year, and have done so for previous events such as the 2013 Philippine’s typhoon, Japan’s 2011 earthquake and tsunami, and the 2010 Haitian earthquake.
