The BlackBerry Passport features a rather interesting design. Instead of being more rectangular like most smartphones are shaped, the handset is more square which is also largely thanks to its 1:1 display. It’s a unique design and one that BlackBerry has explained to its users in the past for choosing what they did.
Now if you were hoping that the Passport could do with rounder edges, you might be in luck because the folks at BlackBerry Central have reportedly gotten their hands on a leaked press rendering of the BlackBerry Oslo, which you can see in the image to your right. The handset is similar to the Passport in terms of design, except that it sports round edges on the corners and a different speaker grill design.
However under the hood, the specs of the BlackBerry Oslo remain the same as the Passport with some minor differences. For starters the handset will pack a 3,450mAh battery and will come bundled with OS 10.3.2, but other than that it seems that everything else, save for its design, will remain exactly the same as the Passport.
It should also be noted that according to the rumors, the Oslo is slated for the Chinese market only meaning that if you wanted to get your hands on it stateside, you’d be out of luck. It is scheduled for a release by the end of June so check back with us at a later date for more details.
