In terms of specs, the One M8s sounds a bit like last year’s HTC One M8 with some minor changes. For starters it will sport the same 5-inch Full HD 1080p display, and all-metal body, but under the hood is where it gets different. The handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC versus the Snapdragon 801 found in the One M8.
It will also come with a 13MP rear-facing camera versus the UltraPixel camera setup used in the One M8, however the front-camera will return as a 5MP shooter. The phone will come with the same 16GB of onboard storage and will be accompanied by 2GB of RAM, so it seems that apart from the changes in SoC and camera, everything else is more or less identical.
So if you don’t want to pay for the brand new HTC One M9 and don’t mind something similar to the HTC One M8 from last year, then you will be pleased to learn that the HTC One M8s will be priced at £380 and will be available later this month in Europe.
