Last week we reported that Blizzard had officially confirmed that the release of the Hearthstone expansion, Blackrock Mountain, would be pegged for the 2nd of April. It looks like Blizzard has kept to their word as the developers have proudly announced that the expansion is now live and the first wing is open to gamers.
This is the third expansion that Blizzard has released for their Hearthstone digital card playing game and it will feature 31 new cards. It will also come with a handful of different wings that players will be able to play with and battle new bosses, but the wings will be released across the next few weeks, but for now as part of the game’s launch, the first wing has been opened.
Gamers will be able to access the wings either by paying 700 gold per wing or $6.99. Alternatively gamers could opt to pay for all the wings and save themselves some money in the process. Paying with real-life money seems like a faster way as collecting gold within Hearthstone can take quite a while through the completion of quests and winning the Arena.
The Blackrock Mountain expansion is also a smaller expansion compared to Goblins vs. Gnomes but hopefully it will still prove entertaining enough for you. The expansion can be bought within the game itself so you’ll have to fire up Hearthstone and make your purchase via the in-game store.
