Microsoft continues to tease the next title in the Halo franchise as it gears up for release later this year. It ran a big social media campaign and released multiple live-action trailers as well as an episodic audio series that let fans unveil more information about the new title. All of that has now resulted into the official reveal of the Halo 5: Guardians cover art. Some mysteries have still not been revealed and for that fans will have to wait until E3 2015 to find out more.
The Halo 5: Guardians cover art reveal was also tied to a social media campaign. Several cryptic images were posted on various online channels across the globe without any explanation, instructions or even references to the Halo universe.
Nevertheless it didn’t take long for Halo fans to piece it together and reveal the official Halo 5: Guardians cover art. A video version has also been released which highlights Spartan fireteams which will play a “crucial role” in the showdown between Master Chief and Spartan Locke.
Alas, we have not been told who these Spartans are. This “and many more mysteries” are being kept under the wraps until E3 2015, we’ll have to wait for Microsoft’s event at the gaming convention to find out more.
Halo 5: Guardians is going to be released on October 27, 2015. It’s an Xbox exclusive.
