Multiple carriers in the country today released the Lollipop update for select devices. T-Mobile kicked off the day with Lollipop for the Galaxy Note 4. Sprint later released Android 5.0 for the LG G2. Now we have U.S. Cellular joining the fray as the carrier has finally released Android 5.0 Lollipop for the Galaxy Note 3. The update is based on Android 5.0 and has build number N900R4TYUCOC3.

Galaxy Note 3 owners on U.S. Cellular should expect to see a new user interface with Material Design elements after the update has been installed. Lockscreen notifications are a major feature in this update, they’ll also notice performance improvements and overall enhancements once they have jumped up to Lollipop.

U.S. Cellular is rolling out the update over-the-air as most updates are these days so it shouldn’t be long before its available for all users. Alternatively users can try to manually download the update by using the Samsung Kies desktop software.

Now that this carrier has finally released Lollipop, this means that all major mobile carriers in the country have now updated Galaxy Note 3 to Lollipop.

As many of us have come to expect by now this is going to be a hefty update so users should definitely connect to a good Wi-Fi network before they install it, this is actually a prerequisite and the download won’t begin until you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network.
